Gary originally joined the firm in 2011 and re-joined the firm in 2017 having left in 2016 following a short break with a small trust company who had acquired the trust business of another Jersey based provider.

Whilst away from the firm, Gary has continued to grow his knowledge and expertise in various areas such as high net worth private clients and corporate services business mostly focussing on investors from the Middle East acquiring and managing Corporate Real Estate in London and across the UK.

With experience in the financial sector now totalling 18 years, Gary was originally from a banking background having spent 7 years with Barclays Wealth in Jersey in a variety of roles until 2009.

Gary’s role as a Client Director involves overseeing sub sections of the teams headed up by the Managers which have exposure to a variety of assets contained within Special Purpose Vehicles, EBTs, MITs, Private Discretionary Trusts, EFRBs and Pension Plans with clients ranging from private individuals to corporate structures.

In addition to overseeing the team and having oversight of more complex transactions, Gary’s role gives him exposure in a variety of areas such as:

• The acquisition of UK properties and then subsequently arranging for relevant appointments to be made including property managers. Subsequent to this Gary’s teams have been responsible for the day to day administration of the entities and reporting to the investors or interested parties.

• Financing and lending arrangements in respect of property transactions and investment portfolio lending;

•  HMRC Settlement Opportunities in relation to corporate EBT arrangements,

• Exposure to a number of complex investment transactions, in addition to the administration of artwork within trust and SPV structures,

Outside of work, Gary is married and has one daughter. He has an active social life and enjoys most sports, in particular football, where he is the manager of the St Clement Sports Club under 18 football team and assists with senior teams, he can often be found on the training pitch in all weather conditions throughout the season. Gary also sits on the committee at St Clement and has been responsible for developing the relationship between St Clement and the Community section at Premier League football club, AFC Bournemouth.
